POST - 00X : LAST POST

Weird.... something weird.... is happening....it looks like some strange button has appeared on the right side of this blog.

Should one of us press it?

No! I've heard that BUTTON pressing can lead to nothing but trouble.

THEN YES! We SHOULD press it!

I feel it may not be wise.

I agree with Rescue.

But I want to press the button.

Tachikoma!?! What are you doing here....

I have seen many story lines where beings that press buttons usually suffer consequences...

PRESS THE BUTTON!

I don't know...

Post - 009 : Online Productivity

Hello, this is Gort. I am your Web 2.0 channel robot for sector 001-BK. This is the Online Productivity portion of the Library blog. Please, let us welcome 009-BK, High-Wheel Robot, and his report.

Hello, this is High-Wheel Robot. I am your Web 2.0 channel robot 009-BK and welcome to the Online Productivity session. These days "Web 2.0" has many useful things to use collaboratively. Shared online documents and calenders are some of the more practical and productive tools for home or office.

That is very interesting.

Yes, it is. Well, it could be. It depends on the subject matter and your point of view. If it is a calender for a super fab rock and roll band to maintain gig and practice dates, or a group of writers using Google docs or wikis to co-write the greatest Choose your Own Adventure story in history, then yes, I would say that it is interesting. However, if it is merely used to maintain the amount of lint a human being has collected in a bellybutton, then maybe not so much. Although there could be a small contingency of beings that find that sort of quantitative measuring interesting.

Um. Okay. Do you have anything else to add?

Not really. CHPLearning Web 2.0 seems to have covered it.

Okay. Thank you for your information, High-Wheel Robot, 009-BK. It seems like we are winding down a bit here with this blog. Regardless, that is all for now.

Post - 007 : Your Choice / Gaming

Hello, this is Gort. I am your Web 2.0 channel robot for sector 001-BK. This is the Your Choice / Gaming portion of the Library blog. Please, let us welcome 007-BK, Martian Invader, and his contribution to the blog.

DESTROY ALL HUMANS
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Martian Invader!!!

YES!!! DESTROY!!!

MARTIAN INVADER, REBOOT!!!! REBOOT!!!
Um, it's not time for that yet.

Oh. It isn't?

No. You are here to report on the Post - 007 : Your Choice / Gaming portion of the Library blog.

Oh. Okay. Hello, this is Martian Invader. I am your Web 2.0 channel robot 007-BK and welcome to the Your Choice / Gaming session. Games are fun.

The HCPL Public Library Web 2.0 Committee did a nice job of posting various links to online gaming websites, do you have any more to add that may be beneficial to readers of this blog?

Well, they seemed to have done a thorough enough job of posting about that subject, perhaps we can post something regarding games in another sense.

Like what?

Like game reviews. Good review game sites. Here are a few: 1Up, Game Spot, GameRankings, CNet. All of these sites have reviews of all platform games such as PS3, Wii, etc., as well as games that offer online possibilities, for example, The World of Warcraft.

That brings up the next question. Virtual Worlds. I noticed they also posted something on virtual worlds on the net; Second Life.
How do you feel about that?

It is adequate. Second Life is really a small niche of many of the online world possibilities. Here are couple more that are specific to age, commercialism or lifestyle: Gaia Online is an example of an anime virtual world very similar to S.L. Also, from General Mills, the corporation that creates human processed food products, such as snacks and dried food cereals such as Lucky Charms, has created a similar site called Millsberry. Obviously directed toward a younger audience and chock full of 11 Vitamins and Minerals and commercials. As you can see there are many possibilities.

Yes. That is very interesting.

Yes. I also found this report on the the future of the human Brain, originally airing on the human radio station called NPR, very interesting. Here is the story.

Wow. that is creepy.

Yes. Creepy, but possible.

Indeed. Tell me Martian Invader, do you have anything more to add to the Your Choice / Gaming session of the Library Blog?

At the moment now, no.

Well, thank you very much for your report --

You're welcome. Are you going to let me know...when we're going to do that thing we talked about a while ago....you know, lasers and destruction and all that?

Er, uh...yes yes yes. I will inform you when the time is right. Thank you once again Web Channel robot 007-BK, Martian Invader, that is all for now.
